- His experience helps him understand where and how the district should spend its limited funding.
- Steve visits schools often and talks with the whole staff—not just teachers and principals, but also aides, kitchen workers, counselors, custodians, campus security, volunteers.

- Steve has no hidden agenda and no ambitions beyond doing his best to help educate all Temecula students.

Career and Technical Education
Over the last four years, Steve has proven that he has the time and dedication to serve our community’s schools and families well.
In his four years as your trustee, Steve has voted to:
- Increase the district’s reserve funds from the mandated 3% to 6% to protect us from budget cuts, allowing the district to avoid layoffs and continue its programs as state funding decreases
- Expand Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, which help students prepare for high-wage, high-demand careers, by adding Engineering & Architecture and Regenerative Agriculture
- Increase the number of school counselors and social workers to address student mental health issues in the wake of the pandemic
- Support Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Programs in our schools
- Approve plans he helped develop to provide the best programs for our Special Education kids, foster youth, homeless students, and English Language learners
